Borgo Casa al Vento is the result of careful restoration by the Gioffreda family who in the early ‘90s restored this architectural jewel to its former glory. Hidden behind the village of Gaiole in Chianti, not only famous for its wine and quality of life but for the famous bike race, Eroica, which takes place every year.
The hamlet is reached by a beautiful white road starting at the village of Barbischio, bringing you to the heart of authentic Tuscan countryside. The quaint houses of the hamlet are built from traditional stone, respecting the architectural tradition of the territory and features include exposed wooden beams, stone fireplaces and terracotta floors.
Gaiole is a land of wineries and since the territory is very beautiful in the last 10 year’s there are several sport and cultural events that attract many tourist

1 - You have a vineyard, there is wine, apartments, what would you like to add to this picture? Expand the vineyard, improve the wine, increase sales?
I feel myself lucky since we have what most of our guests are looking for : a boutique winery and boutique hotel. People is looking more and more for small wineries and I feel that we have the right size to be attractive
2 - The audience of the project is growing. For two months the project "Yellow Road" was viewed by more than 25 thousand people. Now you can share the problem, give advertising, ask for advice
My sentences are:
If you want to drink good and authentic wine look for small wineries
Drink wines made only with original grapes from the territory (terroir)
3 - The traditional question for winemakers: What is your favorite wine (red or white)? And why?
We are in a land of red wines and I prefer red wines
4 - History of the creation of your BIANCO and how much is a bottle, for example, Vin Santo, 0.5 l, 2005?
As we needed to complete our range of wine I decided to start producing a white wine . The blending of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc was particularly successful . I picked up the name Alliaria for our Bianco from a white flower with the same name.
But I should say that our Vinsanto is a dessert wine made of Malvasia is a very special wine.
5 - Is your choice for the "Yellow Road" of white (yellow) wine?

6 - Tuscany is a famous region, and what is the beauty of your town Gaiole in Chianti? Are there any cultural traditions in Gaiole?
Gaiole is a land of wineries and since the territory is very beautiful in the last 10 year’s there are several sport and cultural events that attract many tourist . One of these is a no Prof competition with bikes in vintage style

12 - Which white wine producer (from Italy or another country) would you recommend for the "Yellow Road"
I reccomended in my opinion one of the best white and natural wine from Sicily, Occhipinti Winery with the SP68 wine.
